Project Title:
“SAUDI ARAMCO; INSTALL C3/C4 REFRIGERATION UNITS AND STORAGE TANKS JNGLF”
Client:
ENPPI (EPC)
ARAMCO (OWNER)
Scope of Works:
Bored pile foundation for the construction of the world’s largest propane/butane storage tanks.
Challenges:
- Executing pile foundation works within a live gas plant (brown field) was highly challenging due to the need to coordinate around ongoing operations, hazardous conditions, and restricted access.
- Access control through the plant permit system demanded early coordination to ensure timely mobilization of personnel and equipment.
- Logistics for material supply and equipment movement were challenging due to space limitations and stringent safety protocols, requiring adaptive solutions throughout the process.
Mitigation:
- We implemented early engagement with plant authorities to streamline permit approvals and minimize access delays.
- Our team established a detailed logistics plan to coordinate material deliveries during approved time windows, avoiding interference with plant operations.
- Proactive communication, daily coordination meetings, and flexible work sequencing were key to maintaining progress without compromising safety or plant functionality.
