Also called drilled piers or cast-in-drilled-hole piles or cast-in-situ piles. It offer larger diameter piles than any other piling method pile construction through particularly dense or hard strata using special drilling accessories (auger, bucket an core barrels). After the hole is completely drilled with/without supporting casing, reinforcement steel is installed and the pile is casted with concrete.
